Thanks again Eric @EDDO and Jay @tyfoon11 for coming out and meeting us at Hollister. It was great you guys were there, I don't think I would have ever done Hector Heights look out with this much rain and mud if it weren't for you guys encouraging me by making it look so easy. Because of today I now have a great need/justification for a new rear bumper. I think I have a high clearance bumper calling my name.... "buy me, having $ in your bank account is boring".

I do find it interesting that all three of the rigs that decided to bail out today, "because of too much rain", were all non Tacomas (Frontier, F150 and Xterra), hmmmm.

I was joking around with the Jeep guys that pulled me out (twice). I said, "If you see a bunch of Tacoma guys out here, don't mention that I was rescued by a Jeep!"
He said, "A Tacoma pulled me out here (at MET) when I was driving my diesel F-250. It doesn't matter who rescues you or what you're driving- when you're stuck, you're fuckin' stuck!"

    Words of wisdom.

Yup, Jason rescued a whole shit ton of vehicles that day. I liked how he put himself in a ditch to get that f250 out. Then, gets himself out of the ditch.

True story. I got stuck in my prerunner a while back on a stupid easy trail, trying to show off to the wife and tried to take an offshoot and then when I couldnt I backed down into a drainage ditch and got stuck. Sat there for an hour trying to unstuck myself before a pretty badass jeep showed up. Dude was on like 37s double locked and still almost couldnt get me unstuck. We all hate on each others rigs, but at the end of the day a helping hand is always appreciated.

Fun trips guys! Nice job on all the pics. That snow run looked like a blast. Does that road stay open and unplowed all year round?

Yes to a silverfork rd then it becomes a snow mobile run. Although no ones abides by that and you can go all the way to 88 if the snow pack is low but this yr I don't think that's going to be the case. Its getting pretty deep up there.

Good times. When are you coming over to clean my straps? They're in a heap in the backyard. Folded, no starch.

Yea I was pretty glad for my BAMF sliders after our last hollister trip...didnt realize how much shit i scraped til I crawled under to look and had scrapes and missing ppwder cost all along the sides and bottom of them! Good ole rattle can fixed that, but I cant imagine the shape the cab would have been in lol

Went up 20 today toward Truckee. Snow, snow, SNOW. Decided to bail on the Truckee thing after seeing several vehicles flipped on their sides  Traffic was pretty slow going east. Drove part way back down the hill to Eagle Lakes and let the dog out. That was hilarious-he was entertaining a bunch of people bounding through the snow.

If you find yourselves in Grass Valley, go to Humpty Dumpty Kitchen for breakfast...that was pretty damn good!

    edit: Overlook on Hwy 20.

Lift, tires, TRD intake, flowmaster exhaust, roof rack, bike rack, bed mat, pioneer stereo, oh ya and a TRD shift knob.
Who was driving that silver taco with no bed cover. That guy was always stuck! Some one tell him he needs new tires before he tries that again!
