    Hi All,

I have a 2015 DCSB with a non-JBL OEM radio receiver in it. When I bought it the speakers in the front driver side door did not put out sound (I assumed they were blown). I recently upgraded all of the speakers through crutchfield and the driver door still will not work. When I wire in the new or stock speakers all I get is a faint buzz sound coming from both the tweeter and 6X9. I took a multimeter and checked the wires at every harness I could get to. I went all the way back to the radio receiver/head unit and still could not get a reading from the final harness plugging into the back of the receiver. I also explained this all to crutchfield over the phone and they agreed I have a short in the receiver.

    Anyways,

Its not the speakers or the wiring. Has anyone ever cracked open a stock Radio receiver and tried to repair one? I have a feeling there is one short happening inside and maybe T can remedy it with a soldering iron.

Any advice is helpful. I like the stock receiver and would like to avoid going aftermarket if possible.

works just fine. It's isolated to the front driver door (pink and purple wires)

Maybe the pin connection to the socket on the back of the unit.

Test the output on the headunit for AC voltage for that speaker(or any speaker).

Not worth trying to repair it.....Cheaper to find on on eBay.
