When i bought my Tacoma brand new in 2012 it had 2miles on the odometer. That very same day i went on a road trip to Flagstaff,AZ.When i got there i noticed a few small chips on the hood and a small chip on the windshield. Not sure of the exact mileage when it happened during the trip but wasn't even bummed out. It's going to happen so i just put it into perspective that my Tacoma had some added character to it now!

That first one on my 2014 hurt, I have already asked the dealer about popping it out, they said no problem.
The cost will be about $70.

I've been lucky so far. Couple chips in the paint on front bumper from rocks I think. Other than that I'm good. But I park as far from other people as I can.

    Keeping my fingers crossed!

Yup, the first hit on the R/F wheel bent the frame, requiring replacement. With the rest of the damage to the right side, the total was >$18k + rental car, parts (frame) delays and add in salvage value, they decided consider it a total loss.

Edit: This was the best outcome I could hope for, since they were going to have to cut the right rear panel out of the cab and butt-weld a new piece in. The entire vehicle was going to have to be disassembled to complete the repairs. This truck would have never been the same.

6 days after I picked it up and the first time I drove it over 200 miles in one trip, I parked it; my cousin moved it after picking up lunch right in front of a boulder. We were late to leave so I was in a rush and didn't check my surroundings, I put it in drive put my foot on the gas rolled forward onto the Boulder. The grinding sound was horrible but before panicking I got out to see exactly what had happened. My truck leaned a bit to the side when I got out of the cab and it was literally suspending on the rock by the skid plate :frusty:. I carefully got back into the cab so as not to make the truck slide off the rock and cause further damage and put it into reverse and backed off the rock. More grinding. I get out again to see the damage. Skid plate bent really bad. Lower radiator grill scratched. Fortunately no real damage and the stock skid plate saved me.

The whole ride home I'm terrified of what my dad is going to say, yes he bought me the truck. Needless to say he wasn't happy.

A few days later I took the skid plate off and took a rubber mallet to it and bent it back. Bed lined it the next day...good as newat least the fishing was good

On my 14' I had it for a matter of an hour or so and someone had done a hit and run on it. Was at a home depot, came back to the truck and found a note under my wiper from someone who witnessed it. I was pissed that it could happen so fast but it was just a tiny scuff on the bumper that I had to look hard to even find. At first I thought the note was just a prank.

first weekend owned my 15 Sport my mountain bike twisted in the mount and fell over in the bed hitting the drivers side just left of the glass, nice big scratch. I was doing emergency blue hair maneuvers at the time here in Florida
One of my smart a## friends on FB suggested I just take a hammer to the hood so I could park anywhere with confidence :)
