So I ran into a rather odd problem with my taco tunes / factory radio setup. My remote wire on the amp pulled out and the head unit went blank. Checked the 2 Radio fuses under the hood 20a and 30a, marked Radio No.1 and Radio No.2. Yet they were both fine. So I thought I fried the head unit. I bought a new head unit to find out that the head had no power to the main power wire. Went through the entire fuse box. I tried searching online but nothing. Another taco owner helped me to figure out that I had a bad fuse after all. So the 15a fuse for "accessories" was fine. Yet still no power to the radio and the cigarette lighter. Yet the fuse to the left, marked "ACC" 7.5a fuse was blown. This fuse I would have never suspected to cause no power problem to both the radio and the cigarette lighters. Yet it did. So I thought I would post so other people might know about this rather odd problem before they spend a bunch on a new stereo system.

The 7.5A acc fuse sends key on power to the radio. It also energizes the coil of the relay for the power ports. The 15A pwr outlet fuse sends power to the relay contact which is then connected to the power ports when the contacts close. All this is why the power ports are not hot when the key is off.
