2015 SR5 w/3 inch OME lift pulling left...

Hi guys, I reference this forum a ton when doing my own repairs and it's been an awesome resource. This is the first time I've posted because I'm hoping somebody has a specific answer for me on my alignment issue. I bought the truck back in 2017 from a guy that bought it new and had the 3in OME lift installed. It's always pulled left but it's not a hard pull and isn't noticeable unless I'm on the highway so I've let it go but lately I got on a kick about getting it fixed and it's turned into a bit of an obsession. Im at the end of life of my current tires (265/75 Dueler Revos) I've had on for 50k. Have some slight uneven wear, just a barely noticeable slope on the outer edge of the tread. Part of why I want it fixed is so I dont have the same thing happen with my new set of tires. I've had it in for an alignment twice recently at my local shop, first time they said loose lower ball joints, I said fine and did that work. Joints were worn out, especially the left one. 2nd time i had it in they said I have a loose left inner tie rod (tech's words - "not bad at all, very little play but slightly loose). So i had them go ahead and do the alignment anyway. I have not fixed that issue yet because I'm not sure it's the cause, i think the shop is reaching a bit because they don't know the real cause. Here are specs before and after. It helped some - but still pulls to the left at highway speeds.



In another very similar but old thread, one guy mentioned he's got the same lift and said his caster is set at 2.4 both sides, camber and toe zeroed and his alignment is great. I've also read rear axle alignment can be a cause on these trucks but I don't know how to tell how far off the rear might be here. Thanks

 

Your issue is the alignment tech doing your alignment. All 3 adjustments can affect the others during an alignment.
Most alignment techs can get away with not being good at it because most cars just need a minor adjust me here or there to get it right or in the green zones. Lifting the truck 3 inches drastically changes all of those alignment specs. It really does take a decent alignment guy to do it right after lifting a truck.

Most tacomas have a hair of positive camber in the front. 1 degree is a bit much though imo.


50k out of a set off all terrains on a lifted truck is pretty damn good.
