Just purchased this thing used with 50k miles. This car will take us to some of our usually spots when we don't need much gear.

Tried a Honda accord hybrid and hated it, Thus the Evil Sube.

So far pulling between 28 and 33 mpg.

I hit up Matt from discount tire direct here on TW and he hooked me up with some really great prices. he price matched the lowest prices I could find and actually beat the wheel price I found rather than match.

    >Malone 56" roof rack $125
    >Eco Lift Hidden Hitch by Torquelift $275

    Tongue Cap. 350 lbs
    Tow Cap. 3500

I chose this hitch for its ground clearance. It utilized the small "butthole" of the car rather than below the bumper.

This thing was really a pain to install, about 3.5 hours by myself.

I chose to lose the OEM roof rack and go with some wider bars for more square footage up top.

I purchase a Yakima skybox 16. Fits the roof perfectly and with these load bars I can throw more up top with the box..tent, awning, crashpads..

@Byb127 How difficult is it to install/unistall the pin for the hitch bike mount with the HiddenHitch? I've been going back and for on that hitch or the basic underbumper Curt hitch for my wife's 2016 Crosstrek. I like clean look and added ground clearance of the HiddenHitch. I've read that getting the rack pin can be awkward and as you mentioned, the install is a pain to boot.

Build looks sick! I'd love to lift and mod my wife's, but she ain't havin it. So its just the family hauler; tint, plasti dipped badges and Thule roof rack is all its rocking...for now :bananadead:

Whats up man! the install was a pain but totally worth it. If you use a locking pin it could be a little more tedious but with just a standard pin/cotter pin its no problem. Highly recommend it. My spacers come in today finally, took the guy 5 weeks. Should have everything in this weekend. The springs im going with would be a great 1" lift option for your wife's car and i've heard improve stability on the road. Really wanted these to match the kings on the taco :drevil:
