Op, have you tried not spinning the tires, you know, with throttle control?

Which tires are slipping? If its the rears, some weight in the bed would be helpful - especially in the snow.

I agree, my CJ never got stuck either. 8500 RPM 500 HP small block, locked front and rear, 4 speed manual transmission. Jeeps suck, it was always needing a new rear driveshaft for some stupid reason.

    Yeah...

If you're having trouble driving on leaves and loose dirt with all of your Jeep and International experience, that truck isn't the problem.

It has to be better than the 1975 Pinto wagon I used to offroad in New Jersey in the early eighties.

My 2014 is a base model with 265/75-16 Cooper STT pros. No locker. It will go places that will make you giggle like a school girl.

    In 2 wheel drive.

    Just sayin'.

I have wheeled a Bronco and 3rd gen 4runner all my life. I can say my wifes Tacoma sucks compared to those mainly due to the wheelbase. It drags its belly a lot easier. But good tires, turn off all traction control they do really well.

You ain't getting no where in 2x4 on the trails I hit. 5" lift, 33s and no locker is a struggle.

I am assuming when you say you have stock size tires you are refferring to 245's? 265's are also a stock size for these trucks perhaps as step up and a little more agressive will help. These trucks have always suprised me just how good they are off road, I don't mean rock crawling , mine has never let me down wherever I went. I spend a good bit of time in the mountains hunting and on logging roads.

I had way to much skinny pedal and a clutch that I abused more than once. It would spit driveshafts like a cruise missile had just been launched. Usually somewhere around 8K RPM. My wife road in it only 1 time, she screamed at me when it was over and said I scared the shit out of her. Lots of fun.

Only the same way that a brake pedal makes a truck stop and gas makes it go vroom

I think it’s cool that you did something rather unique with your color scheme. Takes balls to be different.

    I'm still saying operator error.
Just because he drove Jeeps and Scouts (but no Scout II?) doesn't mean he isnt the issue. Driving one truck inst the same as driving a different one.
