If you get a new coil paired with the 5100 shock/strut then you don't need to play with the settings.

If you want to just get 5100s and reuse your existing coils, you can choose the setting on the 5100 that you like. In order to change the setting you have to take about the coil over completely apart.

    Shouldn't need UCA's for a 2" lift. 2.5" and above, usually warrants UCA's.

I called the guy that has the truck in the link and he said there is a spacer in front. I know this is a tall ask but by looking at the photo can anyone tell if it might in fact have spacers or any type of lift in the rear?

I would guess no, if he has 2" in the front. It looks level, to slightly bro-leanish.

I asked a guy at work and he suggested that the rims and tires are what is making the rear look taller with nothing added, your take.

The wheels are tires are making the truck look ugly.

If the tires have a shorter diameter then the wheel gap will give the impression the rear is taller.

The tires on that truck are 275/55/20. Which are a hair taller than my 265/70/17s which are taller than stock by 1.4".

He probably has an AAL or block in the rear.

Cheapest option as discussed. Bilstein 5100's set at .85 or 1.75.

Rears of the tacoma on stock leafs are 1" taller than front with an empty bed. So the .85 setting will get you about dead even, the 1.75 will get you a tad over even.
    Literally this much roughly.

Ive had billies set at .85 in front for about 2 years. Until a rear shock broke recently. Ive had 265/75-16 all along, no issues with rubbing.

I am adding eibach/toytec 2.5" coils on billies set at 0 up front and adding a 1.5" rear add a leaf (AAL) this time around. Level, just a little bump in height to possibly sneak some 255/85 in there this spring.

    Add A Leaf.

The truck has leaf springs in the rear. If you buy packs to add to them the rear gets taller.

Do this, don't go block. Block lifts just stick a block in there which rides horrible.

Ok, had the guy measure right behind the front fender and in front of the rear fender and he said they were at 20". With that said would you think the rear has been lifted any at all or is it stock?

i bet the front is only lifted.
Rear is 1" higher than front to begin with.
Bumping the front makes everything level in theory.

Most level kits over 1.5" for this truck are rear and front lifts.

Just ask the guy to take some photos of the rear axle and rear shocks. That should give us enough to look at to tell you.

I don't think it matters exactly what the truck in the picture has.

What do YOU want OP? Are you going for a similar wheel/tire set up? If so go with the kit that supports that set up.

Just FYI wheels exactly like that truck are M/T so very expensive, low tread life, they are effing loud, will throw off your spedometer and odometer and reduce mpgs.

I guess we would have to know what it was to start off with to figure this out then.

    Good luck OP

I agree, but it sounds like OP is curious about what exactly the level kit consists of.

With that being a 1" rear block would a 2" spacer up front still be able to give you a level look or would you need something more?
