Ive been running it for several days now, and no melting or distorting of the tube. I may pull out the plastic cover thing in the frame that you can see right next to it in my pic and drill and zip tie it to that as well like Notoneiota did. That will move it farther back away from the CAT.

If you happen to get under your truck again, would you mind telling me the number on the frame plug in the lower right of this pic? Looks like a 7 or 2, but I can't tell for sure. Thanks! :)

In regards to the drain mod, does anyone else think that the hose being extended down/zip tied to the frame might cause stress on the line leading into the firewall from the truck body moving up and down with the suspension as one drives?

Anyone think Toyota could use this mod as an excuse to void a warranty, if something were to go wrong with anything A/C? This mod doesn't entail any cutting or splicing, so I would think not.

This won't void anything. You're just extending the a/c drain. Personally I don't think it's a big deal and it isn't necessary, but Toyota isn't going to care if you do it.

I don't think so. But if you are having issues with the A/C, remove the hose first before going to the dealer just in case they throw the " oh it's been modified" b.s......

Just redid mine...ended up placing a length of tubing OVER the stock drain hose to guarantee I won't have any leaking issues. So far, so good.

The frame isn't technically a moving part, but when driving the body of the truck is going to move up/down and flex with the terrain.

So far mine was still the same way when I zip tied it. Just keep an eye on it. Maybe check it once in a while just to make sure that it is not moving or have fallen off.

Thanks. I had a 1/2" barb and hose in the toolbox. Good to go now

Modded it again to ensure no heat damage to the hose.

    A few things
Well I looked around my garage and found some braided pvc tubing, heated up the end to widen up a little bit. It fit snugly over the existing tube coming out of firewall. Ran it down and zip tied it to frame. Works like a charm!
Question, There seems to be another spot where water is dripping a little. It's towards the front side of engine bay. I didn't have time to search for it but just wondering if anyone knew what it was? Probably just coming from the low line.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
Pretty sure the plug on the inside of the frame is a 7.

The drain comes out of the firewall. the firewall/body is attached to the frame. There should be minimal movement if any at all. Maybe if you're flexing off-road, but not for everyday road driving.

It may be the residual water that came from the A/C drain. Like what happened to mine. The reason how I found out about this was that I saw two water drain spots from my garage floor. One coming directly above where the A/C drain and the other was on the chasis under the passenger door. I traced how the water got there and sure enough it was from the A/C drain that made it all the way there.

It is #7. I took a pic just didn't remember to post it.
