2015 tacoma A/c light flashing anyone know why!?

    a/c light flashing when i turn it on then i would have to push the button and it will work anyone have same problem?

    I had the same thing happen once. Brought it in and had it documented. They could not find anything as it was not doing it anymore.

    Thanks yeah it would only do it in the summer time when it was really hot. i havn't had it do it to me in a while but i have 1k miles left under warranty and would rather have them fix it on there dime..

    My 2014 did it once also.
    I turned it off and then back on and it hasn't done it again.

    It could be a s simple as a slipping belt, a bad clutch or a bad as a seizing compressor.

    Like Bill said get it in when it is flashing and at a minimum get it documented. If it is the compressor it could be expensive.

    Took it in to toyota today guess they found metal shavings also going into hoses causing the problem entire a/c unit getting replaced leaving my truck for 3 days should be ready monday. Im just happy no cost to me but truck is a year old to soon for problems like that

    There is a rev counter on the compressor if the pulley does not turn or slips it will flash and disconnect the clutch.
