Even when you add the Canyon sales to the Colorado twin Tacoma far out sells the GM mid size .

I think the Canyon looks better than the Tacoma, but you don't buy a truck on looks alone.

    I love my new 2015 Tacoma. I'm sure in a year or two, I'll get a 2017 or 2018.

I went with my 2015 Tacoma but will buy a used diesel Colorado in a few years after they drop in price and provided they prove themselves. I'm not trying to be a guinea pig which is why I didn't go with the Colorado or the 2016 Tacoma. The colorado looks so much nicer than the Tacoma and the interior is 10X better, but I have doubts on how it will hold up. Tacoma is still an extremely attractive truck and has proven itself for over a decade.

This. Bought my '15 for this reason. Can't buy one after they quit making them, but I can trade this one in whenever I want.

What is so different about the 15's from the 14's. they look the same to me from what I have seen when getting my oil changed. Only difference I have noticed is called a 3rd gen!

Still a ton of 15s out there. The dealer I've been working with has 57 15's in various option sets. I am dealing on a 2015 SR5 DCLB 4x4. Got the price where I want, but trying to beat them out of another grand.

I cant understand why the 2016 Tacoma doesn't rear disk brakes. ? Bummer, like the front grill though.

rear disc? why does everyone think they are deal breakers? rear brakes do very little braking, around 30%. Drum brakes warp less and go for ever between service. yeah they aren't as sexy but they work. ever see any world expo rigs with rear discs? no.

Say what you will but I love the 2016! Sexy beast that would be mine if I weren't getting a new frame to go with my 115k miles. Can get a lot more life out of my 05.

For all the pandering GM did to the auto reviewers you can't change the fact the Colorado isn't that great of a truck. For as basic and dated as the current Tacoma is, it's a solid performing truck. People forget it wasn't all that long ago that updating a truck platform was a once in a decade occurrence. The Tacoma and the Ford Super Duty are about the only two trucks left that follow that. The bro dozer and soccer mom crowd changed that.

Now that I have looked them up I like my 14 better looks wise. But I do like that they offer projection headlights from factory from the pics I've seen. They are following the 4 runner look and I loved the last gen 4 runner look but I don't really care for the newer ones.
