I figure i'll own the truck for a very long time, and the heated leather seats for the additional money over 10+ years seems like a small price to pay to have a far nicer interior all over.

I'd say the deal is pretty good, and paying an extra 3k or so for heated leather and the other options isn't so bad. Overall I think it makes for a much nicer truck, especially since I'm prob going to be in the 30k range either way. Might as well not look dirt cheap inside.

And I honestly couldn't justify any other package on this truck being worth a 30k+ price tag on a compact truck. is it me or are the prices on these things in general getting a bit out of hand?

Minor detail, but it's not real leather. Softex is a synthetic leather.

Any new car you get with all the high dollar options will jack the price up fast which is why I went with the base model with the sr5 option only and got my truck for under $26K and with less than $2K extra I was able to add a lift, backup camera and rims/tires and I am still under $30K and have exactly what I want. I am not saying everyone should do what I did and to each their own. You only live this life once so you should do what you want and not what others suggest. I test drove several other trucks and Jeeps after I found mine just to see if I was still happy with my choice before I went back and purchased my truck. Dealers also seem to lower their price once they find out that you are looking at other brands and options.

yeah I know, but it's the only way to get heated seats.

also I'm not into lifts or big tires. I like to keep my vehicles stock for high resale

In my region of the country, I can't even get a dealer to deal on a simple 2015 order.
2 dealers so far, just don't seem interested, Haven't even talked about price yet.

I think these dealers have a hard time getting regular shipments, and thay make better money on fully loaded units which are slow to arrive. Heck with anything less.

like I said above, the other dealers wouldn't beat or match the price, saying it was below their invoice. the wouldn't budge off 35.9k

ya these prices are getting out of hand. I'll probably just buy used from now on. Plus my property tax won't be so high.

wouldn't buy one of these trucks used if I were you, the way the resale value holds, you'd be better off buying new.

I remember back in 2001 when the double cab came out first on the Tacoma. I bought a Prerunner brand new for $22K + TTL. Now they're $10-12K more.

Katskinz with heated seats will save you $2k plus interest over 4-6 years.

when it comes down to resale, stock seats, a real trim, and factory options give a better return than aftermarket heated seats.

If i was to get the TRD sport + these seats, i'd be paying more than getting the Limited and buying some aftermarket bilstein shocks.

I think you answered your own question when you said no other dealer in the area would match the price. Prices range quite a bit from one region to the next. 3 dealers I called In San Diego were willing to work while the one I called in Los Angeles wouldn't budge from sticker.

I just don't understand it, lol. why is one dealer willing to buy and sell for less, and another is trying to bend people over?

Precisely why i'm spending extra on the limited package =] and I may get a set of winter tires and black wheels, and I'll most likely tint the windows.

gotta add a little aesthetic appeal :D

In the Seattle area, I was initially considering a Limited. I was offered $35,939 which he said was $700 over the price that he gets it for which was $35,239. His numbers (Dealer Invoice) agreed with the research that I had done on Edmunds.com for that vehicle. I didn't work the deal any further, so I'll never know how low I could have got it, but in our market here, I'm sure it would be no where near the $34,100 that your dealer is at now.

What was the point of this thread if you already made your mind up  You could buy a sport and trade all the color matched for chrome.. and probably get cash in your pocket from the deals, add katskinz with heated seats and still be out on top. Your reasoning for resale value is pointless since the limited has been out for barely 2 years.

nothing aftermarket will ever get a good return like factory options. that's all i'm saying.

my mind is made up on what I want, I was just curious what other prices others have gotten and if this sounded like a good deal (for what I want)
