2015 Tacoma Tailgate Handle

The tailgate handle on my 2015 is faded bad. Anyone else have this issue? Did you replace? I've tried some products but, they don't last.

 

Replace or you can derp it. Maybe get some of that wipe new stuff

 

I also have a 2015. the only thing I do is use mothers back to black, but its only temp.

 

I feel like most products like that..dry out the trim worse once they wear off..

Yep. I've tried the products. After a few rains it looks like it starts to run down the paint. I liked the idea of painting them. Just disappointing that it does it in the first place! At some point the door handles will do the same thing.

 

I'll start off by saying....i am a huge plastidip fan.
BUT i have never had good luck dipping parts that get touched alot. I have tried alot of interior parts and the only section that stayed on was the pillars beside windshield. (The rest got redone using krylon fusion.)
That said p.d works amazing on wheels..badges.. grills..bumpers and even on my wife's entire car. However I did not dip her door handles because i knew it would peel quickly.

You could use actual paint or they also make plastic dye for refinishing door handles.
(Saw a video on YouTube but can't remember product name.) I'm sure if you did a quick google search you could find more info on dyes. Goodluck and don't forget to take lots of pics to post solution you chose and result over time...after all that's what makes tacomaworld...tacomaworld

Try SEM black trim paint.

 

That's crappy pop n lock quality.
