I have a new 2015 4wd TRD auto. Randomly and usually when making a right turn the truck fails to accelerate when the pedal is depressed. I think this is a safety issue when you pull out and the truck goes blah!! Anyone else have this problem? The dealership can't seem to find it and there are no codes recorded. Can someone help? Thanks in advance

Giving it a lot of gas, sounds coming from the truck? Traction control kicking in?

Go to the dealer. Insist they have a tech plug the TechStream into your OBD port and take him for a drive and try to replicate the issue since you know when it happens. Try to make it happen as often as possible.
I had an issue and over 15 minutes of driving I couldn't get it to reproduce the issue, until a mile from the dealership.

Don't accept no for an answer. Safety issue, for sure.

I've had the same issue 3-4 times now. Like the OP said (I've lurked on here long enough to figure out what that meant...) it occurs when I'm coasting down a slight incline, usually after a right turn (this may just be correlation vs causation). I'm wondering if this deals with how the taco AT works on hills? I bought my taco in December 2014, so it's taken a couple months to get used to some of the quirks (still love her) but this is one I can't figure out.

Once it's out of whatever gear it's in (I would assume 1st), it will accelerate as normal. Didn't think it was a big deal until it happened while I was trying to merge onto the highway today.

Anyone got any ideas? Relevant ones preferred haha. Again, it's like it's in neutral or park when accelerating. Thanks

A similar thing was happening with my 2014. I was advised to disconnect the battery for 15 minutes and reconnect. Then drive the truck more aggressively ( more throttle) in particular exiting turns for a few days. The engine goes through a relearn phase. Haven't had a problem since.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.

Thanks all - these are all excellent suggestions (tho, apparently we're now going to need to censor the stars and bars from General Lee).

Update/ not really an update - long story short, I had to cancel my appt bc they weren't able to get to it until 5pm (dropped the taco off at 7am but I get that the dealership prioritizes ppl paying $100 for an oil change and cabin filter). I've got an appt this Monday and will post any worthy results - haven't really had any significant issues with it as of late (also trying to get the pinging TSB done).

Thanks for the suggestion paco - if it continues, I will definitely try disconnecting the battery but I want the issue to be documented with the dealership bc it's under warranty, etc.

I have '09 Taco TRD Pre Runner that seems to have the same 'hesitation' problem you describe.
Been doing it for years. Dealer can't replicate OR figure it out. Never stays long enough to light the 'error' lights. 1-2 seconds.
They put it on national database hoping for help. but none yet.
    Aggravating and dangerous.
Anyone figure it out, please let me know.

Have you tried having a tech ride with you around town for a bit with a TechStream plugged into your OBD port? That's how my misfire was recorded, and he had real time data before it happened, during the misfire, and afterward from every sensor in the truck - and it was recorded.

I even let them drive the truck for week.
Don't have any idea what they.
Dumbasses can't find a solution, tho.
