I just got back from Covington LA. Saw 3 TRD Pro's driving around. The orange looks really nice. I like my black one.

No dealers around me have one nor can they tell when they are getting them.

Also the TRD Sport does not have locking diff, downhill assist, or A-Trac. Also TRD Pro had GPS built into headunit along with Sirius radio.

I'm negotiating on price for a trd pro now. They are hard to get since most will be allocated and apparently it will also be hard to order because of limited quantity.

Trust me, if they sell good, they will make plenty of them.

I ordered my TRD pro back in March and still haven't got delivery in oklahoma, I don't even have a time frame yet. I hope it really is what I been hoping for I have waited 10 years now for a tacoma and finally able to pull the trigger. I ordered the inferno with the tow package. I am surprised I wasn't part of the first delivery due to my dealership being the largest in the state (Jim Norton Toyota) it's odd about this truck is when I call there is very little information they know for me other then they will call me when they find out a delivery date.

Was discouraging seeing the Kansas dealership getting one and its just for sale when I put money down over 6 months ago for one.

Einstein, you are a very patient man and you should be rewarded soon. Inside scoop on mine is Oct delivery. It has been "born" according to the dealer and will be here in a few weeks. Have a good friend at Toyota and they just added a bunch of shifts to build 7000 more tacomas annually. Our dealer has no new Tacos on the lot.

They're pretty limited due to the high labor it takes to re-fit the trucks with the TRD goods. On top of that the same group at San Antonio is tasked with both the Tacoma and Tundra TRD Pro builds. So it's not like it can be boosted from the 1,200-1,500 to 5,000 just because the demand is there.

$40k for a truck with $5k(at most) in add-ons and you don't think they will make more. Maybe you are right.

No matter, I want one and I am working with my dealer to find a white dcsb with tow package. If anyone knows of one in Virginia, Tennessee, etc let me know.

Just read up on the suspension. It's basicaly the same thing as the toytec lift. Just ad the bilstein 5160's for the rear and thats it.

cap next: tint, seat covers, auto start w/ electric locks, cruise control, rear diff breather. down the road: 3" lift w tires and wheels, snorkel, sliders, "toyota" grill.
To those that have bought a PRO...did you "order" them or just put down the $1000 to get dibbs on the next one to the lot? I ask because I "ordered" a black in manual and went back 2 weeks later to talk to them and another one of the guys that orders them says "Alaska...Anchorage/Fairbanks" is only slotted for 5 taco pros and they do not know the configuration of them till they show up. Apparently my deposit gives me first pick when they show up. I really want one of these but it's been a total pain in the ass and nobody seems to know squat about them.
