Mine have done this exact thing as well. Didn't bother going to the dealer because I knew they'd be useless, and it hasn't happened in probably 6 months.

Mine has done this a few times, the intermittent just stops working and won't work until I restart the truck. I haven't noticed anything in particular about the parking, though.

I was able to reproduce this exact issue in my 2015 one day while I was wiping down the dash.

I think I momentarily hit the wiper control in an upward motion. Just enough to trigger some movement, but not enough to get it to do a full swipe.

Anyway, it's nothing to be worried about as long as your wipers generally still work. Just hit the one-time-swipe motion or put it on intermittent and it'll fix itself.

That is actually normal operation. It's useful to tap the wiper stalk up so the wipers are parked higher on the windshield in the path of the defroster in the winter. Kind of a shitty way of thawing the wipers compared to having a heated strip at the base of the windshield, but it better than nothing.

Ah yes this is what happened to me as I put in a separate post. Same issue, if it a'int happening at the dealer, then they really don't care to address.

This may not be the solution but I noticed on my 2015 , where the wiper motor shaft is ( exterior near the vents) there is a pocket on each wiper that fills up with dirt and road junk. Right at the shaft that moves the wiper. Just the other day I pick out a bunch of dried dirt. Now that I know this I'm sure just sticking the hose in while washing will blow this stuff out.
