Recently I decided to purchase Bilstein 6112's set at the second highest setting. The main thing I have to say is... What an improvement. The package includes new shocks/struts and coilovers. It is definitely a rougher ride, but I suspect that will soften up once they get broken in and when more weight is put in the front (bumper/winch). I drive forest service roads quite often. Most are washboards with very deep potholes. This suspension takes those washboards and potholes and eats them with ease.

The one of the biggest differences I see between the 6112's and other lifts is the shear size of the tube. I don't see these struts breaking at anytime.

Awesome, planning on doing the same for my '11 DCLB soon. How much lift did you wind up with?

Got just under 3" in the front and 2" in the rear. They give a good ride

What did you use in the rear? I'm going to swap my single leaf AAL with a progressive 3 leaf AAL

Progressive is a good choice. I just have an AAL and 5100's in the rear. I'd like to go Dakar and 5160's eventually!

I did the Toytec progressive 3 leafers on top of my main base spring with 5160s and got 2.5 almost 3 in the back. They are as smooth as butter. I've a 2016 and it ride good...it's incredible now. I put the 6112s on the front. Now for upper control arms!

What setting on the 6112? Overload in or out in the rear?
