Shouldn't we have already heard details then if it's already in production? And 2016 MY release? I thought if anything it would be later in 2015. Out here in Hawaii, dealerships just received the 2015 Tacomas this week...

    Link/Source pls.

I know you've been right a few times but any firm details that you can back up with anything but word of mouth? Just curious.

Unfortunately you have to work in the industry to be privy to the knowledge.

It will be revealed in the upcoming months I'm sure. Be patient!.

Without knowing how high or low you are on the Totem Pole there's no way to know if you're jumping the gun or production is firmed up. Time will tell ;).

Yes time will indeed tell. Production date may move a week or two, but likely not...

I'm so low on the totem pole that dogs tinkle on me.

Nope, I'm only close with a Ford guy. That's how I learnt about that diesel discussed in another thread.

Thanks for sharing anyways. Makes me want to hang on before my future wife and I buy another new truck/suv.

If your set on a Tacoma and like the current one I say get it. The 3rd gen could come out and you might hate it and then you possibly passed up a good deal on a 2014/2105 Tacoma.

    Fapfapfapzzzzzzz
Not sure of your "upcoming months" timeline but, this thread and op's reasoning behind the thread is exactly why we won't know for many months. If, it happens.
I don't see Toyota releasing info that would slow sales of their recently released 2015 model or the Pro. Shit, there are still 2014s on the shelf.

When the new Gen arrives, I'm sure there will be bargains on late model 2nd gens. Hopefully my dealer has a few remaining 15's when the new gen is out.

I'm not going to rush out for the first model year run of a new gen. Bugs will inevitably need to be sorted.

from the pics I have seen on the new one, I am not sold on it. I like the fender flaring version version right now and its simplicity on everything. All these new vehicles now have tons of electronics and more "sealed systems" which makes it harder to do maintenance on yourself

Not to be cliché, but I know right:rolleyes: these trucks have never been a quote "bargain" under any circumstance, but yeah good luck on that front.
