That's is what I am looking for. I am indecisive as hell, and hearing other people wage war over what they would buy helps me decide what I want. Thanks. Rep for you!

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
Then go drive one. The ride is great, Best you will get from a stock Tacoma. That includes the 2016 and up until they have the next PRO or Baja or whatever they call it next.

If you don't like the interior and love it when you drive it. Wait for the 16.

I always plan to do more mods than I do because I have a shit ton of projects. I did the Baja suspension on my 2013 and I love it. I wish I would have bought the damn Baja in 2012 when I test drove it.

I am trying to decide if i like the front of the 2016 taco. I like the gate and interior, but that front looks a bit smushed.

I loved my Baja. I got rid of it to save us money in gas each month. But then the prices raped me over with this low stuff making me regret my decision.

I just got a price point from the dealer on the pro and the MSRP is at 40k. The OR may be the way I am leaning.

I loved the Baja I looked at in 2012 but passed because it was 36k. Bought a 2012 Double Cab Auto trd OR because I got a banging deal 28900, and the Baja was a 6spd and would "kill me on gas"

I traded the 2012 in for my 2013 ASAP because I should have got the damn 6spd in the first place :) LAST TIME I WILL BUY BASED OFF MPG!!!

After loving my truck that I have so much now. I will always buy what fits my needs AND wants needs from now one :)

If I am out of gas and don't have gas moneys, then I will drive the car with my sad face on.

And Because I am nostalgic I drive my 85 and say its to save gas :)

I am in the same boat as you . I can't get past the front of the 2016 . I will have to see one with mods done to get a better idea .

You may be able to get a DC auto pro for 38 and change. Many of the dealers are adding shit and going for 40K

39 and change is the MSRP of a DCSB Auto without their added shit.

WHICH makes me mad that I missed out on the Baja by choice too..

We also have no idea what the pricing will look like 2016 models either.

TRD OR can be had as good as 10 percent discount if you shop around.

I think the hammer mod should fix that :)

I like the truck other than the ford fukkus front styling

What makes you think the tailgate reinforcement is any more stout on the 2016 Tacoma than on a 2015? I don't know how you correlate build quality to necessity of redesign, the 2016 could be every bit the same build quality of a 2015, or a 2005 for that matter, regardless of how different the appearance is.

Oh I agree with you 100%, the 2016 could be the exact same. Something is telling me it won't be, but it very well could have the same problems. That is the reason I am waiting until the 2016's are on lots and able to be driven before I make any final decision.

All in all, I would be stupid to spend $32000-$35000 on a vehicle, or really anything for that matter, without testing it out and making sure it is what I want. If I test drive the 2016 and I think it has the same problem, then I am going to Ford and getting me an F150, or buying a used 2nd gen Taco. Simple as that.

I just don't think the 2016 is going to be a brick shithouse. i would be surprised if the construction of the tailgate is different than the current design. Weak and weak, but different looking than the last weak tailgate.

To me, the reason to get a TRD Pro over putting new suspension on a TRD OR is the resale value. The PRO will always be worth more than a modded OR of the same year.

However, in the case of the 2015 vs. 2016, the 2015 is likely to drop in value significantly when the new truck comes out. So you lose the resale benefit.

Basically, if you can tolerate the look of the 2016 OR, I would wait and get it. You can always add the suspension and have the best truck around. At least until the 2017 TRD PRO comes out. ;)

I don't think the previous generations will take much of a hit in value. The body style will still be in demand, even if it's not "new."

Do you need a new truck?

Have you bought a house yet?

If the answer to either of those two questions is no... buy a house before you buy a truck you don't need. This is information I wish I had listened to when I was in my 20's.

Doubtful the 1st gens didn't drop "significantly" same could be said for the 2013 silverados compared to 2014, just cause its new dosent mean all previous gens lose value, not how it works with used car values.
