These aren't just a speculative website, but a guidebook that any private buyer, wholesaler, or dealer is going to reference to assign a "resale value" to a vehicle.

And, it takes premium which is a tick over 3.00/gal. For now.

Oh gotcha on the premium, that definitely makes a difference.
How much is that dealer offering on your truck?

Just a note form my brief time on a car lot. Sales manager always said Kelly blue book never bought a car.... It is a guideline. People in the market place set market prices. As shown here one buyer may shy from a S/C truck another will pay a premium because they value/appreciate the s/c. a S/C truck WILL reduce the potential buyer pool and A car lot will always error on the conservative side for purchasing. That is why I say you best bet for max ROI is private party and a little patience.

I've been in the auto claims side of work for 20 years. In general, when a total loss vehicle ends up having numerous aftermarket add on's, it's typical to see 10 to 25% added to the value of the specific modification. When I had to settle total losses, I would tell the owner it would be more valuable to remove and sell it on your own. Example, aftermarket stereo with sub's might add $200 on a $1000 system. I would advise to remove, and put the OEM back in it's place to settle those claims. The SC is obviously a different class of add on. You might sell it for a bit more, with the right buyer. It comes down to how long to wait for what you feel its worth. How much more would you pay if you were buying it with the SC? My best estimated guess would be $1200 to $1500. But the right buyer might pay more. Hope that helps!

I meant more along the lines of... If you look at the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Gen 4WD Pickups, people shell out crazy amounts of money (multiples of book value) for ones that are low mileage and rust free in certain regions. I expect these trucks will end up with a similar situation, assuming the government doesn't outlaw gasoline vehicles by then.

Talked to the insurance company today, they have extra value but you need to show receipts.

Most people are too stupid to check out a vehicle & determine that just because it has mods, that it is or is not abused!

You have both vehicles now? Any chance you can survive two payments for a while till ones paid off? Thats what I'm doing. My ford fiesta gets 42 mpg, I drive that on my commutes

One can never have too many light bars.
List it for 45K on Craigslist and see if anyone really wants a supercharged trd pro. Worst case no one meets your price and you can list for less. I don't think any mods except the supercharger will increase value.

If cash isn't an issue, take the $250/mo and buy a commuter. Comfort may be an issue but something like a Versa/Yaris may slot into the $250/mo range and be the best of both worlds.

Back when I first had my STi I was looking at jobs that would have been quite a hike for commuting. I could have bought a Nissan Versa Base ($9,999 MSRP) for what I'd save in gas. Had I taken the job, I would have gone that road in a heartbeat.

X2 on the Versa - I have a buddy who geo-bachelors a lot of his work. He just bought a cheap car instead of putting all the miles / gas on his F150.

It all boils down to the math of your specific situation. That's the only way to find out what's best for you.

One think to keep in mind is that some of your potential buyers will be put off by that many miles on a 1 yo vehicle. That's more than 2x the norm.

If it's the truck a buyer must have, they may listen to your highway miles history, but very likely they'll want to ding your price, unless you demonstrate you've already allowed for that.

    Good luck in your decision!
