I have seen several people in the past ask will they fit. Yes they do! Let's see some more Tacomas with FJ wheels. I think they look good on Tacomas. JMO. What do you guys think?

Thanks, I thought they turned out really well. And for $100 for all 4, I said what the heck I will try them. Bought some decent tires and slapped them on.

Do the original TPMS fit in the FJ wheels? I have my eye on a set of the black Trail Team wheels. Also are you guys buying the TRD lug nut kit to install the wheels?

I really like these FJ wheels, they go nicely with the MGM. I was originally going to go that route, until I realized they are one of the heaviest OEM wheels Toyota makes at 28+ lbs. The TRD OR wheel by comparison is 23lbs. Looking at the wheel tire combo as a whole, I determined I could run a much lighter setup by going to 17" wheels instead, which gives better mpgs and performance.

I'm glad my truck gets more than 6 light poles per gallon. It's a truck, not a hybrid sports car.

255/75r17 BFG MTs. One of these days, I'll wash it...

Best thing about the FJ wheels are the fact they have 3/4" less backspacing and sit perfectly flush with the fenders. Hate the tucked under look of stocK Tacoma wheels.

Just because it is a truck doesn't mean informed decisions cannot be made to maximize performance and fuel economy. Can you run a heavy setup with no benifit and reduce performance and MPGs and claim it is ok because it is a truck? Sure thing. I won't.

But there is no harm in providing the info to others to make an informed decision based on their needs. Personally I see no reason to pay the penalty if it is not necissary. That is not to say these heavier wheels cannot be paired with a light weight tire like the 265/75/R16 C-load duratracs, which would change the weight of the setup entirely.

You bring up good points. I just happen to not give a damn about mpg's. I like what I like and my decisions are made accordingly. +5 lbs. of rotating weight plus a E load range tire make me happy, so that's what is on my truck.

It's your truck and if your happy that's all that matters. Those wheels look killer on the MGM. Just providing info for others to make their build decisions off of. :)
