Your welcome man. That's strange that it was on the sticker!

For what it's worth, it was on my sticker as well. Was surprised when it wasn't in the truck... but $90 and 15 minutes of my time wasn't worth making a big deal out of it.

FYI, tried stalk from 14 Corolla and did not fit. I'm sure there are other models that will work, but a 14 LE Corolla model will not.

12 minutes start to finish in the dark.

    Thanks for the support!

One note: step 8 the "three prong plug" only has two prongs in it.

Also there is a white clip on the door side which you need to align if the bottom is not going on correctly. I tried to get a pic but largely failed. It is under on the bottom.

I got the switch off Amazon by searching the part number. The member here did not have any in stock when I checked.

great write up, If I didn't have this switch already I would probably do this mod. I'm more interested in the old-fashion ignition mod you got going on there :welder:

Thanks man, glad I could help you out!!!

That's for my viper remote start, they haven't released a bypass module yet so I got a key in a black box under the dash and that ring reads the key!

Knocked mine out today. Since I had done it on my old 2013, this one was a piece of cake. Decided to time myself. 4 minutes 19 seconds.

I used a special hemostat to pull up on the tab. I was sweating that I would break it. This tool is usually used in surgery or dissection. It has little teeth that grabbed the tab and I could easily pull toward myself to release the stalk assemble. Thank you for the guidance on the install and proper part # to order.

Awesome write up! Does anyone know the PN or the switch used on the Tacoma rather than the corolla? I want to do this mod but I would rather use the same switch that would have come in it from the factory.

Same switch. There are quite a few parts that are used across the Toyota lines. Cuts down on cost

Makes sense, thank you. I just got my 16 SR on Wednesday. I got the convenience and appearance package with it which has everything I want but intermittent wipers weren't even a thought. Really just assumed that was a standard by now lol. $100 switch is well worth it to me, I can't wait to get this done!

Nothing fancy, yet. Weathertech mats front/back + their mud guards, some reflective striping and custom carpets on the storage bin lids underneath the jump seats.
    Cool mod indeed!

FWIW, I have an SR5 V6, which came with the intermittent wipers but not the keyless ignition.

    Related topic, but slightly different.

I noticed on mine that the interval wiper settings are reversed! I have a 4 runner and Lexus that have the proper settings and showed it to Toyota. The marking with the "narrowest" white mark is supposed to be faster than the "wide" white mark. More annoying than anything else that they missed this during the QC inspection. Dealership said they are aware but are not planning to do anything about it - unless more people complain about it. Guess this just goes with buying a new model. Disappointed that Toyota missed something like this.

Dude this and the cruise control mod (more the latter, but still) are why I bought an SR! Thanks again!
