    No recalls at this time.

clear signs of "seeping" on rear diff. wet spots near every bolt.

I am aware the recall hasnt been relased for the OR's yet, but my dealer told me if / when i bring it in, they legally have to keep it until a remedy is released by corporate and the only rental option they can give me is a corolla.. no thanks.

As I've already posted, I'm on the list. It really is no big deal, it happens. I'm not on the rear diff recall list and my rear diff shows absolutely no signs of weeping/seeping/leaking or whatever they are calling it.
For those of us who purchased and replaced the CPS on our own with what we thought to be the new "improved design" CPS (hash marks, number 8 instead of 4), is there any way for us to know if the one we purchased and replaced is the design they are going to be using for the fix? Another questions I have is all the trucks that are not on the recall list obviously have a CPS that is fine, so how is there not a fix for this yet? They apparently have the "improved" CPS already and have installed it at the factory in the trucks that are not on the recall list. My dealership is 45 minutes away. I'm fine with the fact that I spent $98 bucks and replaced it myself, not going to break me... It is worth it for me to not have to drive an hour and a half round trip and wait in the lobby for two hours. My thought is this... I guess what I could do to be sure is when they have a fix, reinstall my old CPS, take it to the dealership and let them replace it with the new improved design CPS and keep the one I purchased as a spare in the truck.

So they want to confiscate your truck? I'm thinking about taking mine in until the fix is ready for the CPS. Drive a tundra for a month or two. Then they tell me they have no trucks because of all the Turd gens being recalled. :annoyed:

According to this article truck sales are up for the year but low sedan sales are dragging down overall vehicle sales numbers.

So when you guys look up your VIN, the recall notice for the CPS is already showing up?

I guess I don't have that recall - however, I'd probably replace it for peace of mind

Woohoo! I made the team. In the recall with my 11/15 Texas built truck. I have a new CPS in my tool bag that I never installed. I should sell it to my dealer for 5000 as the recall says there is no fix yet.....morons.

Exactly. Call my service rep and he said legally, they can't let me leave with my truck if there are signs of leaking / dripping rear diff and since corporate has eyt to release this recall for the OR, they have to keep my truck off the road until a remedy is announced.

I followed up with a request of a truck rental for the time being due to my job and needing a truck and he said there was no way that was going to happen...

Interesting... mine was built just before yours at the same plant. Not in the recall. Maybe we're not caught up yet on this side of the border :canada:

It's actually true and I was in disbelief myself but this person was a master tech for another manufacturer and so he knew how to play the game to get them to fix his hood vibrations. Every new hood had the same shitty adhesive. He refused to let the dealer outsource to a body shop to reglue and paint. He wanted a factory hood that worked. They couldn't make it happen. True story absolutely. You can't make this shit up.

On the list for both CPS and rear diff recalls. '16 SR5 4x4 V6 DCLB. My truck has no signs of leaking and runs great otherwise, 20k miles so far. Will be taking it in once I have the time to part with my truck.
