What’s the verdict? Wrong sticker? Toyota axle code change? Other?

If that is 6th gear, I'd bet on 4.30s.

    WAIT: ARE YOU IN 5TH?

My 4.88s are not spinning my engine much faster. Use the calculator.

    EDIT: CALCULATOR LINK: http://www.grimmjeeper.com/gears.html

Things match up in 5th, 6th not so much (?)

So, is your axle code wrong or has Toyota changed the code?

It has to be wrong as B07B would be an AT OR or Pro. IMHO, it is about a big a mistake as the batch of Sports (or whatever) that got the OR bed stickers.

@mabupa said earlier his axle code was the same as mine so I guess it’s an error on his for sure. Wonder how many came off the line with the wrong code?

It could be one or thousands. Probably sub-1% ever look at all of the good info on the sticker other than the TP which seems 100% wrong on all Tacos to me.

Things are not computing. Please put your numbers in gear ratio calculator. Tell me I'm whacked.

I posted a picture of my door sticker too. Now I want to jack the rear up and do the good old spin and count test. Even though you guys are saying 2k RPMs at 60MPH in 6th confirms it.

Punch those numbers in the gear calculator - of course you will need to enter the tranny ratios.

Just did and it says 61MpH and change if I have 4.30 gears and 67MPH plus if I have 3.90 gears. That’s using the transmission gear ratio numbers a found on this forum. So, that confirms what they guys above say about the truck having 4.30 gears.

Yes they match now, phew. I entered the actual tire size in inches............interesting........anyway 4.30 agree.

Bumping this thread. Confused. Did Toyota change the door jam sticker axle coding in 2020? Looking for a 4.30 front diff and it seems something happened to the sticker coding during COVID or something changed with the coding on Mexico built trucks and, accordingly, LKQ has a lot of their newer model diffs mislabeled.
