2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma LUXX-Series Sequential LED Tail Lights *ISSUE*

I have googled this topic and found some older results but I was curious if we are still encountering the dreaded driver side gap issue on this product?

I recently purchased these off Amazon and it was sealed box and a genuine product. My experiance was that the passenger side installed just fine. However the drivers side has the gap. I've tried washer, bending the inner fender tabs where the posts go. Not sure what else to do other than return them, unless someone has a bonifide fix for it.

I have looked on tacoma beast and a few other sites and cannot find any complaints there about this product but was curious if they screen their reviews or did I get a old batch and it has since corrected itself.

a few years ago I purchased the pro version on my 2019 (i have a 2021 now) and don't recall the issue.

Should I try replacing the lamp assemply clip as the light did not pop into place when I installed it (just slide into place) but was flush until I ratched the screws down tightly but not too tight.
