2016 3rd Brake Light (should I use a second gen one?)

    I have a 2016 SR access cab,

    I’m looking to replace my third brake light with a smoked one, however all of the ones I look at for a gen 3 Tacoma say 2016-2023 but don’t include the two screw holes that are in the 2016 Tacoma brake light. Has anyone had any experience replacing their 2016 brake light? Should I go with a gen two one that has the screw holes?

    Yes the 2nd gen center brake light was carried over to 3rd gen access cab. You can just buy a clear or smoked lens and swap it in, without dicking with the adhesive to the cab sheetmetal. Replace the filament bulbs with red LEDs.
