My second gen TRD-OR came with a 27F battery. I was surprised today to see that I got a 24F battery in the 2016 TRD-OR. Is this a mistake? What battery did your truck come with? This is a pretty wimpy battery, relatively speaking.

I agree - 582 CCA is pretty weak. My 2.0T audi uses a bigger battery than that.

Yeah but consider it's only gotta crank this minivan engine. Hell a corolla battery would work fine.

Can you check under your hood please and see if you got the same battery? I'm wondering if Toyota screwed up. Thanks.

    No mods whatsoever!
24F is a replacement option for the 27F, as is a group 35. Maybe Toyota went cheap with the smaller battery?

Another reason why they are using smaller batteries is because of weight issues. That and newer starter motors are a lot more smaller and effecient
