2016 4runner TrdPro vs 2017 Pro Tacoma

Any one have advice on which vehicle to go with? Struggling to choose.

 

Before everyone jumps all over you. First question is end use. What's it going to be used for most of the time. Then go from there.

 

I just came out of an FJ Cruiser into a Tacoma because I needed the flexibility of a pick-up.

 

Do you need an open bed or covered cargo space?

 

I have a tonneau so it can go either way.

 

Have you driven both? (obviously not the 2017 taco, but a 2016). I test drove both recently and found the 4runner to be like driving a slug compared to the taco. Looks nice though and roomy inside.
