Just got a call from Toyota. My 2016 according to them average's 89 db's of road noise in the cab of the truck when driving .
They left a message It's we know it's loud but we cannot and are not repairing it.

Please pick it up and have a nice day.

I will make a call and have the noise it measured. We will be going to court. The noise is so bad you need ear plugs in your ears when driving the truck.

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
You could install dynamat. I lined my cab on a 2nd gen with it and made for a super quiet ride. Oh and your stereo will also sound better.

Might be the best alternative to a lawsuit?

Or, trade it in. My new F150 is super quiet, might be the quitest vehicle cab I've ever experirnced.

I have a 2015 sierra. It is so much quieter.

The 89 db's is after Toyota removed my back seats and foamed it with 1/2 inch foam over the cab vents.
My 2011 Taco was great. Wish I wouldn't have traded.

Whaaaa? 89 dB is like NIOSH / OSHA violating levels of noise. Pretty sure NIOSH would say you could only drive the truck for 2 hrs/day. Something is very wrong, and I think they just can't find the source.

My 2016 Access cab is remarkably quiet, even at freeway speeds.

That's a shame my access cab is almost as quiet as my 2014 f150 was. Hope you get the issue resolved.

Have you measured it yourself? You can download free apps for the iPhone that will measure.

Aren't you the guy who claimed 110db before? Now it's 89? All the responders from that thread have already ignored you. Get a life.

Hmm...tires? My Access Cab Sport is very quiet with the stock tires. When I briefly put some all terrains on there, it was louder. Can't think of any other reason it would be loud, except in comparison to a luxury car.

Just curious, didn't you notice the noise during the test drive before you purchased your vehicle?

Sure did with my IPhone I down loaded an app. Shows 110 db's when going down the road. When I put the phone by the back seat.
You sound angry Must be a bad day. I have a great life.

I have the recording from Toyota saying they measured 89 db.
I also hired a Lawyer today from Texas. He also works in my home state.

If I was you I wouldn't post much here about your troubles, you might give Toyota some super secrete inside information and blow your case. I'm surprised your lawyer didn't brief you on this. They watch these forums you know, they are out there......

Yes and you should hear the message from Toyota Dealer . "He know it's loud we know it is bad. We measured 89 db's of noise.
We are not repairing the truck please come pick it up." Not worried about now they admit it the lawyer will have an easy job.

Then my 2015 1500 Sierra is super quiet. The source's are from the leaking door gaskets they leak a lot of wind noise then the cab vents
are open and allow the noise from under the box right in the truck.

That is better than rain water. I know how you feel. I went through the aggravation with GM on my 2015 Colorado. Rain water was getting past my door seals though. Finally got tired of going to various dealerships service departments and traded it off after 6 months ownership. Good luck man.
