I measured the noise today in my 2016 AC, going 50 mph on a decent quality secondary road, using the iPhone app dB Meter Pro.
    It was consistently 46-49.

Yes my truck is way out of line.
Auto db .com has all the car interior noise only 1 is over 80 and it is 82 mine is getting measured today by sound pros. I have from Toyota the noise was measured by them at 89. That is lawn mower loud in my truck.

I would suspect the pressure relief flaps are stuck open behind the cab.
Toyota's access cab trucks are noisey because you sit so damned close to the relief flaps, most trucks have large back seats to block the sound. Cars have it in the trunk. We are stuck sitting 3 feet away from ours.

I paid 255.00 dollars today to have the truck's interior noise level measured by the pro's.

My print out shows up to 105.9 DB's in the cab. Ave was 88.9 just like Toyota measure of 89 ave Db's.

You guys act like I killed someone first born. Because my truck is a lemon. I'm glad your trucks are quiet because that will most likely the next step show my is defective compared.

Yes when you pull the seats you can see the street all 4 doors in each of the 2 pressure reliefs are standing open and the door gaskets are all loose.
Then the actual doors are thin as a match book cover. REALLY CHEAPLY MADE.

I will ask again. Did you notice this level of noise on the test drive? If not, when did it start occurring?

I feel for you. Hope you or Toyota finds a solution.

Yes I going to likely have a truck like yours a quiet one measured to show my is defective.
Mine can't do under 89 according to TOYOTA themselves and says up to 110 on my I phone meter and was backed up by 109.9 high measured by some professionals

Maybe you might want to trade tires with someone and do a test run with a different brand of tire and see if the noise level drops to an acceptable level. Unless your truck was built missing some part that reduces noise the noise has to come From someplace. I hope you get some resolution for your issue. I am extremely happy with my 2016 Access cab except for the automatic transmission programing which I can learn to live with. Best wishes.

I already had some duelers on hold at Discount tire. But I'm not getting them till it is clear I'm keeping the truck. The truck likely will go back.
Noise level is too high to keep it so. I'm not driving it anymore till the lawyer does his job. The lawyer is FREE so they don't work for free so They like my case.

Go ahead and waste your money trying to sue Toyota, ya better have a lot of $ to lose cause you will lose. Funny you are the only access cab owner bitching about the cab noise
.... my 2016 access cab is quiet on the road

There was a post that some said My access cab is noisy too and looks to be gone.
Then I have several emails too from others with noisy access cabs.

Kind of glad it pushed me to a Sierra. Wipes my 2016 Toyota Tacoma in anything a truck does including a nice and quiet cab.
Even the V8 MPG is close to the 3.5 V6 so far and the power level is even not close.

My lawyer took the case for FREE! I'll win my case side bets accepted .. MEASURED 109.9 with a semi passing. Lining up hearing experts as well. Sounds like lots of friendly owners here. That claim to be adults but act really like they are 8 years old.
I'll pass next time Last Taco out!

There is no way I would have paid $255 for a Db test, many car stereo shops have Db meters and would charge a lot less, some will do it for free.
