For the Nav in-motion lock-out override, just cut the SSW wire and run both leads to a switch. Then flip switch to use features, vehicle thinks you are stopped.

The first photo is not showing - probably because it's not public in your Google account.

Now that would be super useful. I'm assuming the vehicle will show speed as 0 when the switch is disconnected? Any other downsides to running disconnected all the time?

Yea, that would help maybe, fixed it.

Yes shows 0, switch to make changes, then switch back after finished so location/speed is accurate data.

    Works now.

Cool. Almost certainly going to do the navi hack. Thanks for the details!

The camera mod comes in very handy for those with a canopy or big high load to see out the back. Also to check on trailer when in tow or see how close that car is you think bumped you at the light. Offroad is very handy as well, or just looking at the person behind you picking their nose at the drive-thru. Nav-mod is nice not have to be stopped to make changes in route or see whats close by to eat while still moving.

This is awesome. I wonder if you add another (front) camera and an another switch, and somewhat wire them the same, then you can toggle between the cameras?

There are quite a few threads on front-cameras. I already have one that's standalone, but plan to add a "proper" one that will display on the main dash unit. Switching between cameras should be quite doable.

I don't have a book on how the truck comes apart yet. How much of the dash has to come off to get that head unit out?

Also, what kind of diode did you use? I've never used one before but have found there are several types and different electrical ratings.

cool mod, I would do this if it was plug n play. I'm not big into cutting OEM harnesses.
