Dealer said that they are going to loosen the bolts and realign the bed.

Got my truck back earlier today. Truck bed was realigned. It took no hassle or arguing for them to repair it. All under warranty. Pretty happy with the results.

2010 Tacoma TRD 4 x 4 Dbl Cab Short Bed
I had a 2011 DC 4 x 4 short bed sold it 11 months ago. Purchased it new in 2010. Third day of ownership noticed a misalingment of bed. Bed was shifted to the drivers side 1.75 inches. I felt like crying. At the dealer the DC misalignment was everywhere some were to the right and some to the left. Some were extremrly minor and some extreme. Next disappointment was when I felt the wallup of bottoming the frame on the rubber bump stop on top of the leaf spring. It happened at 15mph driving though road dips with no weight in the bed. At 1 year of age the AC compressor made a noise on startup like a grind and a sound like refrigerant was blowing out the high presure relief on the back of the compressor. A little research here on Taco World gave me the answer. Toyota used 2 compressor a Tokiko and a Delphi yep a GM part. The Delphi did not relieve head presure after shut down and when restarted after several hours it made noise. The Tokiko had no problems. Misalignment may have been the cab. People on here say the 2nd gen can be realigned by losening bed bolts. I removed the bed bolts and there is hole in the composite bed only large enough to fit the bed bolt through. I looked under the truck at the frame and there is no adjustment. The frame has fixed holes threaded into it for the bed bolts. Some people here say there is no adjustment and some say there is. But some people not all like to claim to have knowledge of some thing without knowing anything about it. If the dealer on the 2nd gens realigns the bed they may be either redilling the composite bed below the bolt head so original hole will not show or drilling a new hole in the frame or a combination of both. This bed misalignment did not occur on the access cab only the double cab. Looks like the all new Tacoma has bed alignment issues liks the generation before it. I don't know if the 2016 bed is setup as prior Tacomas. Mechanically the 2nd gen Tacoma is bullet proof and offroad ability is excellent and it is a go any where vehicle. So I rate the Tacoma a 9.0+ out of 10 in states that do not use sodium chloride or calcium chloride on the road surfaces in winter. The Tacomas that are operated in the 23 states that use those chemicals in winter destroys the frame to the point where the truck cannot be driven in as little as 8 years. A complete failure when a truck stiil potentially worth many thousands of dollars is now worthless due to corrosion. No one can put the blame on the chemicals solely because Ford sourced their frames from Danal also and Ford had some corrion issues but extreme like Taco.

Just checked my truck, built 8/16 in Texas. Didnt do any official measurements, but cab to bed gap on each side fit same number of fingers ( only 1.5, shes tight). Sighting along the bed and rear tires looked perfect. Phew!

Mine was off too, took it to a dealer that did my 10000 SVS asked it to be done along with wind noise TSB. They made the alignment on the box worse and told me the wind noise was from the grill guard and extra holes in the air deflector under the bumper. Did my box myself took about 10 minutes. The tec at Corwin redone the weather-strip TSB no more wind noise :bananadance:

I could put 1 finger between the cab and box on the driver side and 3 on the passenger side. got out the old tri-square taped the edge and now both measurements are equal.

Did you remove the bolts or just loosen them. Need to adjust mine. Thanks

After looking back at early picks the spaces are off the bumper, I took mine off the cab to box. there maybe adjustments on the rear bumper too. but it could be a bigger issue the cab maybe off as well. but its to cold here to take measurements from frame cab and box all the way down. just a thought.

I had the dealer fix mine. They had 4 new Tacos on the lot and only 1, a Limited, was aligned correctly.

Yea, I'm not doing mine until spring. Been in the teens here and now freezing rain. Thanks for the update.
