And then it would be best not to get one. Damage multipliers.

questions about oil weight/type/brand, filter brands, fuel type, what size tire will fix with an x" lift, why does my MPG stink, why don't we have rear disc brakes. What color should I buy, how much is your insurance, how much did you pay, what tire can I buy that will work in mud, sand, snow, be quiet on the road and give me 50k treadwear? How can I lift 6" for $100, 3" for $300 or what is the cheapest level lift I can have?

This list is not intended to be all inclusive, but may round out the top 10 on controversy. :D

ARB calls some of their units 'bull bars' which are hardly the same as the hated TW bull bar. OP - which one are you looking for? I know ARB had one on display at SEMA this year.

Do you want something like the truck on the left:

    or a plate style bumper:

I realize both of these are 2nd gens but looking to understand what you want. If you like the truck on the left in the first picture, you can get one of those for under $500 but they tend to cause more damage in a wreck than helping any. If you like the plate style you're looking to spend closer to $1000.

Thanks for the useful information. Why do the $500 bars cause more damage?

They are bolted onto the bottom of the truck so if there is an impact to the front that top bar on it tends to push over into the radiator.

@la0d0g covered it. The bar will "ram" into the front end potentially damaging more components. Many individuals who have got into an accident report hood misalignments and grill damage. If they hadn't installed the bar, the bumper would likely be the only damaged part.
