2016 Charging Problems

Likewise, its now been 2000km on the new alternator and its all good, very good. Love the truck!
I suspect there are perhaps a couple bad alternators out there, as long as they get fixed quick its all good.

My only gripe now is having to wait for some aftermarket stuff to show up for the 2016, like a truxedo tonneau cover...!

 

Funny because I had an 03 Tacoma double cab. Maybe mine was a pre production

And I'm sure there was plenty of 2005's that had an issue

 

What capacity are the alternator and battery in the 2016 V6?

The product spec sheet doesn't list either - and the 2015 specs only listed an alternator (130amps) in the towing package - no mention of the battery in 2015 either.

 

I have a few of these. I use it on the bike and in the vehicles to check charging voltage along with a Scanguage II in the Miata,
