To start off, please forgive my ignorance. I just acquired a 2016 Tacoma sport model. I feel like I am in over my head. I cut wood for home heating. I will have my truck in the woods. I made a trailer to haul wood. I am ignorant of the features on my truck. I can't understand two of the buttons under the climate control knobs. The one is ECT, the other is a circle with a vertical line through the side of the circle. I am just not used to this new of a truck. My other truck was an 2000 f150 super crew. I take care of my vehicles. I don't get rid of them until I have to. I researched the Tacoma and was impressed with dependability. I am ignorant on the features. Help?

ECT changes how the truck runs, when activated it will shift better and run better with a load of wood. It will decrease your gas mileage. It's like taking your truck out of Eco mode. I think the other button is for your cordless charger. There is a flat pad where you can charge your phone, but it has to be a certain phone.

Owners manual should have come with the vehicle. Highly recommend you review that as well!

Thanks so much! That being said ( here comes the ignorance) to tow a trailer with trailer brakes, I needed a brake controller. I know that I have the anti sway feature. I'm assuming that I need to buy a brake controller. Thanks again for the reply.
