IMG_2796.jpg IMG_2798.jpg IMG_2799.jpg Ok, Looking for some opinions here. I readily admit that I suffer from a serious case of OCD. Today I pick up my long awaited 2016 Tacoma. As I'm ready to head home after work, I pay close attention to the headlights. I'll be quick to admit that i will tend to notice this that many others wouldn't. But is this my OCD or a really poor detailing or prep job on my truck.

I, personally wouldn't give a damn. Especially if I had to wait to take delivery of my truck. But if it's something that truly bugs you, see what the dealer says.

Yes. I have have it at home. Picked it up at the dealer this morning. Was in a bit of a rush as I had to get to work so I did not get the scour the truck from top to bottom. Only noticed it tonight in the dark when I went to go home from work. Funny thing is this is happened to me before about 10 years ago from what I would describe as poor detailing

Last time I had this problem I not only had the headlight lenses scratched also had both mirrors scratched brought it to the dealers attention before I even left the dealers lot that day. Was told don't worry about it will fix it took it back through four times I think they try to buff it out or rub it out whatever never fixed it the entire time I had the truck.

Like I said maybe I'm being over dramatic but it's a lot of money and a lot of hard sweat and tears to pay for a truck like that and it absolutely amazes me that they let some fucking flunky detail at $38,000 truck with a dirty rag priceless

    All the surface stuff yes.

They don't look deep so my guess is meguiars plastx will handle it

All headlights will have that..... Even if you take extremely good care over time your headlights will have surface scratches.

They are extremely hard to see anyways.

Drive it on the highway, you will have scratches/rock chips to match in 1,000 miles

I agree, it is a 30k + truck so it sucks to have scratches on day one, but unless you are going to garage queen this thing.....

I suspect it will have worse than that after about a week.

I have a serious case of OCD as well, and I found may buff marks in the paint that looks ugly in certain light. It was hard, but I just let it go... I told myself that the more pristine the truck is, the more obsessed i'll be with it. I just learned to live with it.
