I’d like to receive voice commands from iPhone navigation.
When selecting audio source as Bluetooth, music from the iPhone automatically starts playing, without ever starting the music app.
With audio source set to FM I don’t receive the voice commands, however phone calls work fine over Bluetooth.
What am I missing? Or is this just another major issue with Entune.

Thats how Bluetooth works. Can't get iPhone audio when you're listening to FM radio

If you pause the music playing from Spotify, or whatever you're using you can hear the phone navigation. Also, if my Spotify is playing music as it almost always is, my navigation overrides the music and says the next turn. Does yours not do that?

Yeah, with the music playing the volume will drop when navigation voice speaks. The issue or question is why does the music start automatically without me doing anything. When I press BT audio the music starts, and if I leave the source as BT, it starts playing when I start the truck.

A replacement won't change how Bluetooth works. You can't listen to your iPhone navigation and FM radio at the same time through any headunit. Not gonna happen. You're better off turning the Bluetooth off on your phone and having the navigation play through the phone speakers

Basically normal. When you switch to Bluetooth on the radio it sends a signal to the phone telling it to start playing music. Just how it works.

I believe you have Connected Nav meaning you hear your iPhone Nav voice if you have Bluetooth selected. In-Vehicle Nav built into the headunit will over ride any audio source with voice directions. See pages 25 and 26 of this PDF for Entune offerings in 2016.
