Maybe helpful to anyone before a chip turns into a crack- I have filled chips with clear nail polish and shaved flush with a razor blade. Almost unnoticeable afterwards.

I have a small chip on the lower part of my windshield. I drive mainly on highways with heavy 18 wheeler action. I stay back from them at least a couple hundred feet. Question for the ones that have replaced their windshield, what do you do about replacing the go pro mount? I have a dash cam connected to mine and would be a little bummed if I lost the mount.

I got drilled with a rock two Saturdays ago and chipped my windshield right where the right hand wiper stops it's sweep in front of the driver at the base of the windshield. I had it repaired and almost immediately (like hours later) the crack around the chip grew. I am keeping an eye on it for now and watching if it will grow, which I do anticipate happening at some point.

Never ran into this with my 2013. I really hope the crack stays as-is as I do not want to deal with windshield replacements as I've seen too many times where poor installation has caused rust issues.

It's the same butter glass as my old BMW e90.

The wind could blow and it would chip.

Wish I took a picture before I had the windshield replaced. Honestly, I did not see any chips on the windshield. It looked like it was just a crack the went from the passenger side straight to the middle.

Same with me, tiny ass pebble cracked my shit. It was like a tiny pin hole, inside the pin hole it branched out. Such a joke they are def junk. I need to call my insurance and get the deductible lowered. I think its currently at like $500. What did you guys say to lower your deductible, did you have to be low key on the rock damage or did you tell them you want it lowered because your truck gets windshield damage easily? Just curious... Luckily the pin hole was filled but it's noticeable to me lol...at least if it spreads the cost goes to a new windshield.

20k miles currently. Mine has a few small chips, but I've had a number of "brace for impact, pebbles incoming!" moments.
