Usually all the auto journalists just praise the test vehicle because they get flown in to see it. Heck, I'd write something nice if Toyota flew me to drive Tacomas all day.

Certainly understandable that some people have a hard time letting go of things like that. After all, they did attack us and killed thousands at Pearl.

After all, all those who did that are dead now. We kicked Japan and Germany's ass and now they are strong allies. Heck, Japan has even apologized for their father's crimes. Stupid to blame modern-day Japan. Same way I will never feel guilty for slavery, because I had nothing to do with it. People need to wisen up.

Yeah, I just hate all those people who say I am being un-patriotic for driving a Toyota. We have a free market here. If we only allowed the big 3 to compete that would be a form of fascism. GM makes a killing in China. It's a global market now. Also, Toyota has invested heavily in the US and employs a lot of people.

I understand that too, but I think they paid the price at Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

This could go a bunch of different ways. When the war department was debating to drop the bomb or not they estimated that an Invasion of Japan would cost 1.7 Million American Casualties and over 10 Million Japanese Casualties. So in a weird fucked up way I think the bomb saved lives. That was obviously a much different time.

Yeah I don't want to get too political. I just think it's dumb to hate on Toyota for something that involved a bunch of dead guys 70 years ago. It was their gov that ultimately caused the destruction of so many on that island. Japan is a great country now. I admire a lot about Japan now. Same with Germany.

Problem is they haven't to the degree of what Germany did. Look under controversy on this site. There are a lot of PO'd Chines, Taiwanese, Koreans, Filipinos' etc. at Japan.
