    TetonBuck,
Just wondering if you had to modify your truck to support the weight of your camper.

    The following webpage: http://www.truckcampermagazine.com/camper-reviews/2014-palomino-ss-600-backpack-edition-review/
wrote the following: Here are our wet weight calculations for a 2014 Palomino SS-600 (without options): dry weight, 1,056 pounds + 10 gallons fresh, 83.4 pounds + 20 pound full propane tank, 20 pounds + battery, 65 pounds + stuff, 500 pounds = 1,724.4 pounds.

Toyota states their 2016 Tacoma, Access Cab, TRD Off-Road, V6, Automatic Transmission, 4x4 (the specific truck that I own) can support up to 1,295 pounds.

If the above numbers are correct, then the SS-600 camper will out weigh the Tacoma's payload by around 430 pounds.
Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

I did add rear airbags to raise and stabilize the load, they worked great but if I had kept the camper I would have eventually upgraded to beefier shocks for off-road travel. These and similar campers say they are made for tacomas and colorados and other midsize trucks but they all more than max out the payloads. Lots of people are ok with this but I was never comfortable so I'm going with Adventure Trailer's Habitat
