    No , the stupid part is they started the race behind the safety car on extreme wets and on the same lap the safety car came in half of the field followed the safety car in and went on to inters so they could have just started the race on full wets or the safety car could have come in after 1 lap

    That whole thing seems like an inherent flaw in their design but if that was the case why no issues for Raikkonen ? I wonder if Vettel's driving style has any bearing on why his gearbox is letting go while Raikkonen's is not

    Could be something as simple as getting back on the throttle coming out of a corner differently and maybe getting some extra torque sent through the driveline as he upshifts but seems like when Ferrari upgraded their power unit in Canada this started happening no ?

    This shines light on 2 separate problems. The cars are too complicated, and require a systems engineer to run them, along with a driver to drive them. The rules in place to cover all of the complicated systems are overbearing.

    I think the drivers are having to spend way too much time changing settings on the car and monitoring the car they don't have time to drive. I think everything besides DRS, brake bias, and shifting should be left alone during the race unless there is some type of failure or serious situation. Let the teams change the settings at the pit stops if necessary, make it part of the process and run a full tire stent with the same settings.

    or just allow more radio communications like before but eliminste the "coaching" radio calls

    But then you eliminate things like fuel rate changes pretty much meaning a car has ot run the same "speed" the whole time. Vs now they can play around with it and adjust it for the situation they are in. Same with things like overtaking mode.

    Im with OZ in they need ot let the teams help the drivers but not coach them. When the driver experiences a problem like Nico had or Lewis before him let the team help. But dont let them just say Nico go to mode 4 now randomly
