I had to record 4 infomercial slots' worth of extra time because it wouldn't let me extend the quali recording for some reason. But I did get the full session.

This radio transmission BS has got to change. Complete BS if a driver has a problem they cant even tell them what the problem is. All this leads to is either 1) teams just accept a penalty or 2) the driver just retires the car.

And good on Button for calling it out on the radio for the whole world to hear how messed up this rule is

I still think Hamilton will take the championship but Nico should be better at Hockenheim. Hamilton will probably take two engines/turbochargers/probably all other PU components and start from the back of the grid with the penalties. At Spa he can probably still finish top 5 and minimize points loss to Nico while securing PU components to get him thru the year.

It's too bad that truck isn't racing.

Well then why aren't you watching the WEC 6 hours of Nurburgring?! I have had it on for the past three hours while I do other stuff.

You think I could get a F1 replay today? Fuk no. Tour de Farce, NASCAR, and WEC have been plugging up the airwaves. I wouldn't give two drops of piss for a NASCAR race.

NBCSN. The channel that bought the rights to air F1.

Maybe it wasn't NBCSN. But I watched it on some channel this morning while I fumed about no F1 replays.

We're cycling fans, big cycling fans to be honest. Big as in, we believed Lance for a lot longer than we should have. After watching the Paris finale today my wife turned to me and said "you know what was really nice about this tour? No mention of drugs."

The F1 race was a procession. The Tour on the other hand was athletic drama at it best. Today in particular, not so much, and I grumbled about no post race coverage (especially after my #@$%$ DVR chose on its own not to record the race), but the bike race was good stuff this year. Really good.

It was on FS1 in it's entirety from 6a-12p central. For some reason the descriptions are empty for me on the guide. I'm on U-verse.

If I have to watch the race later, using the NBCSN app with Apple TV on iPad is really easy. I just go to full event replays (kind of covering the screen to not spoil myself if I'm not careful), select the race and play and put it on my tv using Apple TV. I did it with qualifying yesterday since my recording cut it short.

That's how I watch the 24h of LeMans as well so I don't have to mess with channel changes on network TV. I also watch MotoGP like that with the official (paid) app.

It still knew somehow since I have the series set to record, so I got a bit lucky.

That is 4:00 a.m. pacific which is too early for me on a Sunday morning. NBCSN paid money for the rights to broadcast F1 but they sure don't give a shit that their viewers live in North America. Sometimes they repeat the broadcast around 9:00 a.m. pacific but generally they don't.

I have tried to record two races this season and both times something else was on instead. I'm not even sure if they ever broadcast those races.

They broadcast every race. If you are unsure of the schedule you can check TVracer.com and it will tell you. Every time it's on a different channel I make sure to "record series", so it will usually catch it no matter what. I haven't had an issue recording races for the past three years.

Thanks. I do check the local Charter listings and they have been wrong. Will try TVracer.

Verstappen did make 2 moves , I'm with Kimi

and these stupid radio rules are just like when they changed the perfectly fine qualifying format to an abortion for no good reason

If you have NBCSports App on your TV you can watch the race anytime. Though it's still NBC's live feed which isn't all that great but it's there. Should be free if you already have cable. During commercial breaks it just shows NBCSports logo but you can FWD past.

Thats my biggest issue with both ESPN3 (or whatever they call it now) and the NBC live streaming. THey show the fing game/race spoilers. So annoying you have to be careful where you look to avoid spoiling the event while browsing ot watch said event

Yep, that where the MotoGP app and site gets it right. They have an option to set the default screen to spoiler free. It's fantastic.

i actually want to say its the NBC sports streaming that for soccer will put a "click here or in 30 seconds spoilers will be shown" option. But i cant remember for sure. But still silly to offer watching a sport but spoil it on the same page
