I'm going to go out on a limb and theorize that this will bring about a change in his blocking moves going forward.

 

WTF Lewis? Smooth race for Nico but then why shouldn't it be. Ferrari pulls out all the stops just to beat the Bulls. Verstappen doesn't piss anyone off, amazing! The silly season is going into full swing. Jenson learns just how much McLaren values its drivers.

 

Well Lewis is the only one who can beat himself at getting another championship. Once either him or Nico is out front is pretty much game over it seems like as nobody (including the other AMG driver) can catch up and even if they start the leader just picks up the pace a bit. Overall though...another meh race.

On another note NBC live streaming figured out two more ways to be annoying this race. 1) Play more commercials than normal (seemed like a break every 6-7 laps vs the more 9-10 laps for a track this size) and 2) Make it so you cant skip said commercials unless you are quick on the keyboard as you get like 5 seconds after they switch to going to break ot fast forward. Once it hit the commercial break though it was unskippable and was actual commercials instead of the normal "your coverage will resume shortly"

Most basic cable and satellite packages include NBC and NBCSN so if you have one just download the app, log on with your cable/satellite password, and watch away.

 

That was a pretty dull race

 

Its included in my parents cable >.> Which i happen to just use to watch NBC live sports. And espn occasionally when my soccer team is being shown there. Really i only use it for F1 and the nationally televised Sounders games.

 

Yeah I was more entertained by the jigsaw puzzle I was doing with the family at the same time.

Great deal for McLaren

 

McLaren anticipates a more competitive car next year and wants their hotshoe in it. So they pushed Jensen out, and he pushed back to force them to keep paying him. McLaren treats drivers like they were engines, expendable.

EDIT: Oh yeah and VanDoorne probably had a lot of folks knocking on his trailer door so McLaren had to shit or get off the pot.

 

Jenson wanted to take the year off , good deal for both of them

 

Saving face. The good deal is he keeps getting the paycheck.
