When did they up the capacity for our tanks? Pretty sure I got a 19 gallon in my 06. Wouldn't mind having a 21. Bigger is better. Haha.

The question was asked to get more information about the topic and learn from others input. The difference is simply this as I first stated... I have driven toyota trucks since 1990.... Everyone I have ever had with a fuel light went on with at least 50 miles to go in the tank. This one going on with half that amount surprised me... especially when the needle seemed to have plenty of gas left in the tank compared to all the other toys I have driven. Indeed, I always fill up around a quarter of a tank as well. As a matter of fact, this was my 2000 mile on the truck and easilly the lowest the tank has ever been. There are times that due to work, schedule, kids, life and coupled with the fact that there is really not a super convenient inexpensive place for me to get gas that I occasionally have the tank light come on... probably two or so times a year maybe. Turns out it seems like it was a worthy post as the facts from others seemed to point to the fact that this truck indeed does have an earlier warning than all the rest. They actually tell you the tank is zero when actually it may have a couple gallons inside. Of course I would never push it that far. But I am stoked others gave me great input and didnt think my question was a bad one. I do read occasional odd posts or comments on here that I dont get or wouldn't do...but I try not to respond unless I have something either constructive, helpful or occasionally funny (of course that is subjective). But to each his own.
