I was searching for results on MPG and found this thread, I have been getting about 16-17 in the city and 21-22 on the interstate. But this tank of gas I am averaging 14.5. Idrive 4.5 miles to work each way with a rather straight drive (2-3 lights usually and 2 stop signs) Any body have a drop like like that? (2016 TRD sport double cab, 4x4 ,auto with factory toyo tires)

I haven't had a drop like that but the 16 to 17 city and 20 to 22 mpg highway is what I get in the hills of WV

Stock AC OR 4x4, mixed driving, 17-23 mpg. Best so far has been 24.4. Use shell, or ethanol free when available. 24.4 on the ethanol free.

Try putting it in Select 5th....Not Drive....Also use the screen between the speedo and tach to see your real time gas mileage...Sounds like you have a heavy foot whether you realize it or not.

    Tank avg 16mpg
50/50 city highway driving while cruising, no mashing of the throttle here.

    3" lift with 285/70 17

Just did a Vegas trip, fill up in Orange County, did about 40 miles city before hopping on the freeway to head out.

297 miles to the light coming on, 18 gallon fill up comes to 16.5 mpg. Moderate traffic for about 80 of the miles so thats about 177 miles of full highway driving with cruise at 70ish. Tires and lift kill ya.

My drive this weekend was 90 interstate miles each way, central IL so it's all flat, I was under 17mpg on the way down and under 18 on the way back. No cruise, just my foot, practically never downshifted from 6th gear. I can't get more light-footed than that. 75mph. I don't have the answer, but short of driving downhill everywhere there's not much else I can do. My average actually increased once I got home and started driving around town.

I wonder if that's a gasoline issue....stock wheels and tires?

Stock everything but mud flaps. DCLB. No bed cover. Still hopeful it will improve (about 1100 miles now), but no longer optimistic.

My mileage did go up 4-5 mpg after a few thousand miles, but I also learned how to drive it more efficiently....Hopefully yours will too...

I've also been running 100% 91 octane gas for a while now...

My latest thing is using Select 5th just about everywhere except the interstate and that's been a great improvement, also less gear hunting!!!

    Was getting average 20 Stock.

    Truck: 2017 Limited 4x4
    Tires: Toyo R/T 275/70/17
    Lift: 3" Coilover w/aal

I can get about 300 miles to the tank with the light on. 15.5-16 MPG. 75%-Freeway 25%-City

Truck does not like going 75-80 with these tires, I almost never see 6th gear unless its flat and I have wind behind me it seems like.

I gave up cruise control to eliminate insane gear hunting in the highway. We only have one station around here selling 100% gasoline, might as well try it.

2016 SR5 4x4, I have stock tires and Run 87 octane in California, so I think its 10% ethanol. I get about 22-23 mpg highway. It drops to 20.5-21 when I am driving around the city

I've got a 2017 TRD OR DCSB AT with no cover here in Las Vegas and I've been averaging 21.5 mpg on my previous and current tank of gas. I've been giving it gas to get up to speed and then once it reaches the speed I want, I step off the gas and then feather the throttle to keep it maintaining speed. It also doesn't hurt that Vegas is pretty flat and our city blocks are much larger than most cities around the country.
