I always wanted a Tacoma with a scoop, 1st gen days. Something about it appealed to the young bro in me. Like, there must be something so gnar under that hood, that it needed a scoop. What's underneath? Who gives a shit. Scoop. Chronicles of gnarnia. Fast forward to a month ago when I was test driving new tacos and I was behind the wheel of a scooped whatever, at first KINDA excited, finally a scoop. Then it was like wtf is all this bullshit on the hood. Fuckin lines and chunks everywhere. I for one like the front end profile, and the scoop looks like a transformer dropped a secondary right on the hood. Fuckin robo-turd. I passed on all that, in fact I passed on a lot of stuff but that hood vent is atrocious. And I'm still a full on bro.

Has anyone decided to just buy an OEM hood with the vent?

Hey Folks. I'm looking to swap hoods. I'm going on my 3rd Tacoma since 05. I'm looking to swap the non scooped hood from my new 2017 Off Road for a scooped hood in silver sky metalic. I'm taking delivery in a week? Any takers? I'm in New york
