anyone know if you can have the dealer install the homelink afterwards? this is gonna be a big deal breaker on the TRD Sport if the warden cant park in the garage during our hellish winters.

It's gonna depend on if the wiring harness is there. After looking through the brocure the OR is my truck if choice. The only thing missing is homelink. I mean, I can carry a remote on the visor but id much rather have it integrated.

At first I wanted the OR because I thought it would be badass. After reasoning a little bit I thought I didn't need all of the OR gizmos but after looking at the brocure I'll have to get an OR to get everything I want....except for homelink. Of course, replacing the grill goes without saying.

Probably is, but still better than RaceFan going with Ford.

    That is brown, not beige.

And it is only if you care to piss away the thousands of dollars a Limited requires to get that color.
I'd rather save my money and do a custom interior later on (for much less cost).

Really though. Why would you only offer Gunmetal and Orange on the TRD OR. The Tan/Caramel or Gray dash and DPs would have been a nice touch on all trims IMHO. First World problems........

Just to update, I decided to lease a 2015 DCSB SR5, white with sand beige interior. Got a reasonable deal for $212 a month, $3k down (including all fees, taxes, etc.) and 15k miles per year for 3 years. So far I like it so much I will probably buy out at the end of the lease. Unless of course, Toyota decides to bring back beige in 2018. Then all bets are off!

I'm with you on the beige interior.
Not sure why that style is harder and harder to find.

I'm curious, anyone else agree with me, and think that the 3rd Gen seats would be interchangeable with those of the 2nd Gen? Can't wait to find a totaled 3rd Gen at the junkyard.

I believe I read somewhere on this forum that the new front seats were wider, with slimmer console and interior door panels.

If you do find the seats - be sure to hose them down with this:

Hmm color me intrigued. Appears to be another fine ron popeil invention. Hopefully it not only eliminates odor but also the fecal matter on the seats.

My first look at new Limited today: Don't like the color of the leather seat, (AND POWER SEATS NOT AVAILABLE). Front and rear seats are the same as gen2.
I like the steering wheel, dash and console.
I want a TRD Sport, silver DCSB, 2WD, but have to see the gray interior before I order one.

There are blank slots in the dash where you can wire a keychain Garage door opener using a momentary switch (or two) and avoid all the drama of Homelink programming. I did this on my last two Tacomas and will do it on the 16.

Just solder two wires to the circuit board switch and tape the opener behind the dash. Easy and no programming needed.
