2016 is SOME CHEAP

New 2016 Toytoa Tacoma SR double cab, 4X4, its no wonder the company is having big sales to get rid of them. For those of you contemplating buying one of these, beware, it is SOME cheap! Unlike any other Toyota I’ve ever owned and I’ve now owned six. Just bought the 2016 Tacoma SR to discover on the way home it does not have Cruise Control, no intermittent wipers, no tint in any of the four windows, no keyless entry and only one door with a keyhole (now if that freezes???), no self dimming rear view mirror, no fender flares or mud flaps. It is as bare bones as you can imagine. What ever happened to “standard equipment?”. I haven’t seen this lack of essentials in over 30 years industry wide. The dashboard is all cheap, noisy, hard, plastic, the dash door itself has no adjustments, storage is extremely limited compared to my ‘09 Tacoma which was a base model but had everything listed as missing in the SR above.

 

They figured out people don't notice those things on the test drive...those scheisters.

Maybe the OP himself is missing features.

 

You are the cheap one. Probably should have paid more attention to the vehicle when test driving a BASE MODEL. You won't get sympathy here.

Hmmmm. Should have bought an Off Road. All those things you are complaining about missing, came equipped as Standard equipment on my OR.

 

I think everything except the cruise control on his missing list can be added aftermarket.
