2016 is SOME CHEAP

For under $1000 you can fix all the "problems" you listed (between aftermarket and adding the $150 convenience package from the dealer). Or you could have shelled out 3k more and gotten an SR5. But the bottom line is that this is not a Toyota problem. Did you even read the window sticker of the truck you were buying? Let alone test drive it?

Just bought the 2016 Tacoma SR to discover on the way home it does not have Cruise Control, no intermittent wipers, no tint in any of the four windows, no keyless entry and only one door with a keyhole (now if that freezes???), no self dimming rear view mirror, no fender flares or mud flaps. It is as bare bones as you can imagine. What ever happened to “standard equipment?”. I haven’t seen this lack of essentials in over 30 years industry wide. The dashboard is all cheap, noisy, hard, plastic, the dash door itself has no adjustments, storage is extremely limited compared to my ‘09 Tacoma which was a base model but had everything listed as missing in the SR above.
