@TRSAndrew any reason the parking light mode isn't Amber instead of the white?

I wasn't part of testing earlier this week, but I think parking lights are just the outer reflector area on these, which is amber. If you have the DRL on and turn the parking lights on, the DRL just dims. That's how it should be.

@TRSAndrew will the Amber turns be the same color as the amber fogs from @kustom54lighting

Just want to be sure before I order both

I probably phrased my question wrong. I'm curious why in the parking light mode, the LED strip (or halo?) isn't Amber vs it being white in both the parking light mode and the DRL mode. It's certainly not a deal breaker, just a curiosity. I am referring to the updated photos in Post #1 of the different modes.

Can the DRL's be changed to be amber all the time?

So... This is a picture of my headlight today after an afternoon of freezing mist.
    IMG_20190118_173936141.jpg

The spot you see is the halogen light melting the ice as I started the truck and scraped the windows (heated mirrors are amazing btw) which led me to wonder if the LED light will be able to do the same?

    It’s more than likely mimicking exactly how our stock LED DRL is setup;
100% bright white in day(DRL mode)
~60% dim white when in parking and headlamp mode.
I’ve never been a fan of white. It’s so common.. every.. single...car.
Going to all amber DRL. is one of the things I will address when I get a pair.

No. The LED's don't radiate enough heat forward like halogen or HID. Unless you design the heat to cycle from back to front the headlights will always build up snow and ice in extreme weather. LED's need to remain cool in order to maintain their reliability.

No idea. They did it with the F1shitay so I figured it’d be an option. Saw a set the other day in amber driving and was blown away with the brightness.

I'm fairly certain that if I go out and switch on my parking lights, it's only the amber lights that are on and the DRL is not on at that time?

I definitely would prefer to have that whole strip have just an amber version.. preferably in the parking light mode. It can be white the other times.

If you have DRLs and a 3rd gen, your DRLs will be on if you set your turn signal stalk to parking lights. Your fogs will also turn on at Park if you have that selector turned to on.

You don't have any forward facing amber lights at all in you TRD O.R. The ONLY amber in you headlight is the turn signal and the side marker light.

Parking lights turns on Amber lights on side of head lights, tail lights, and leaves drl at 100%. You can also turn on fogs.

Headlights are the only setting that dims drl about 50%. At least on my 2018 TRD OR.

You all are correct.. apparently I was confusing the setup with my 2012 in which the DRLs were amber.. regardless.. in reference to the pictures in post #1 that show the different modes.. I think the lights would look a LOT better if the parking light mode was amber and not white. - Yes, I understand that is not the way these lights are designed, just simply offering my opinion.

Because he'd never get a set then--there will not be an amber version of any other lights than those for the Raptor I'm afraid.

Doesn’t bother me, I’m just waiting on a set in anything other than black. Lol

Nope. It's designed to get heat out the back, not push it forward. :(

Did you not read post 1? They are a original design by The Retrofit Source. It's their brand. They are the ones manufacturing them.
